Poppy Seed Dressing

to be honest. i'm not a fan of most pre-made dressings
and most home made recipes require quit a bit of ingredients
not true with this deliciously sweet dressing.
it goes delightful with salad laced with some fruits such as pineapples and grapes

poppy seed dressing.
just kidding....
but seriously if you have to take a drug test
i'd save this dressing for anther night.

The ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup white sugar
2 Tbls White rice vinegar (you can use red wine vinegar but the seeds won't show up as well)
pinch of salt
1 Tbls poppy seed (optional, but hey it wouldn't be called poppy seed dressing without them).

The directions:
Mix ingredients in a blender. Chill at least 5 minutes before serving. This dressing can be made a couple days in advance and kept in the fridge.

okay. this might not be the healthiest of dressings
but DANNG it's good.
and everyone will be sure to eat all their greens.

Mix avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, rend onions and salt together. Place in egg roll. Wrap up tight and seal wrap with a little egg. Make sure you seal it up good so oil doesn't leak in. Deep-fry egg roll in oil for 3-4 minutes or until browned . Drain on paper towel. Slice egg roll diagonally in half and serve with dipping sauce.

The ingredient (dipping sauce)
1/4 cup olive oil
2/3 cup fresh cilantro

1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
1/2 cup honey
1 pinch turmeric
1/2 cup chopped cashews

The directions (sauce)

Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole
a classic casserole. and probably the king of casserole.
sorry tuna, tuna casserole just sounds nasty. other wise you'd be king

The ingredients:
4 cans of Green Beans
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
2 Cans French's Fryed Onion (it's easily the best part. don't be stingy.. especially during the holidays)

Directions: In your standard 9x13 glass pyrex baking/casserole dish mix green beans and soups together. (if you wish you may rinse the green beans. it's not necessary and quite honestly i don't know what it does.. but on occasion i'll rinse them. who knows? go figure leave a comment if you know the benefits) now Mix 1 can of french's onions in with the green beans soup yummyness. next top casserole off with remaining can of french's onions. Bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes or until the soup is bubbling. Remove and let cool.

I grew up watching as well as helping my dear grandma fawcett make
this dish for all of our family get togethers.
the secert to it being so good is using one can of cream of mushroom and 1 can of
cream of CHICKEN. the creme of chicken really makes the dish.
Tips. don't leave casserole unattended after you place the onion rings on the top
as you'll find that they will magically disappear.

Sister Wag's Bombtasmic Bread

Sister Wag's Bombtasmic Bread

once upon a time i belonged to byuh's 4th ward
i spent 2 wonderful years in that ward. then i moved.
but i still got 4th ward e-mails.
so when i found out the 4th ward relief society was learning to make bread i jumped ON it.
here's the secret base recipe that everythings based off of.

Mix together:
2 cups warm water
2 Tbl. Yeast
Proof yeast
Add:
2 1/2 tsp. Salt
3 cups flour
Mix Well
Add:
1 egg (optional)
1/4 cup oil (MMMM moist bread)
3 more cups flour (add flour 1 cup at a time)

Dough is best if it is a little stick. Cover and let raise for 1/2 hour. Form into rolls or fill 3 bread pans and let raise for 20-35 min. Bake at 376 for 12-15 min for the rolls and 20-25 for the loaves. Brush with butter while warm. TASTY TASTY You can use this recipe to adapt into cinamon rolls, bread bowels, orange rolls, bread sticks, money bread... i think you get the idea. It's a must have for carb-loaded baked goodness.

p.s. a tip sister wagner taught us.
when rolling out her dough she uses oil instead of flour
this makes for a MUCH moister. Fluffy bread.
